SUBJECT: 65TH PCS ANNUAL CLINICAL CONGRESS – PAPRAS SCIENTIFIC SESSION AND EARLY REGISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Philippine College of Surgeons will hold its 65th Annual Clinical Congress on December 6-9, 2009 at the SMX Convention Center, Seashell Drive, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. This year’s theme is “New Frontiers in Surgical Oncology and Infection”.

The Philippine Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons will have its Scientific Session on December 7, Monday, from 9:00 am to 12: noon. Below, are the topics for our session.

• “Surgical Site Infection Updates: Prevention and Management Issues”
  Speaker: Dr. Cristobal C. Dumo Jr.
• “Updates in Breast Reconstruction”
  Speaker: Dr. Catherine Y. Asedillo, FPAPRAS
• “Updates on Biologic and Synthetic Dressings in Burn Wound Management”
  Speaker: Dr. Ma. Adela N. Aguilera, FPAPRAS
• “Current Strategies in Preventing Burn Wound Infection”
  Speaker: Dr. Glenn Angelo S. Genuino, FPCS, FPAPRAS

Also, please find the attached Registration Information so you may avail of the Early Registration Discount. The PCS office have reiterated that “Day Registration/Registrants” will not be given a Certificate of Attendance with corresponding PMA-CME (100 units) and PCS-CSE (100 units) equivalents. Hence, we encourage everyone to pay the full convention fee if you want to gain the said CME and CSE units.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

• Cash or Personal Checks – payable to the PHILIPPINE COLLEGE OF SURGEONS
• Inter-branch deposits at any Metro Bank Branch to the account of PCS Savings Account No. 198-3-19808446-9, West Avenue Branch, Quezon City. Duplicate Copy of the deposit slip (with your name, cell phone number and payment cost must be indicated) and the list of registrants should be faxed to PCS at 9292297 on the day the deposit was made for proper monitoring of payments and issuance of the corresponding official receipt. Official receipts of advanced registrants will be attached to the convention IDs. Deposit slips validated after November 13, 2009 will NO LONGER be considered advanced payments. The difference between advanced and on-site registration rates will be collected upon claim of the convention kit.
• Corresponding bank charges for out-of-town checks shall be borne by the issuer.
• Delegates may register on December 5, 2009 (Saturday) at the 3rd floor, Foyer, SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia from 9:00 to 5:00 PM and on site (December 6-9, 2009)
