Facial Harmony & Contouring

Facial harmony refers to the symmetry of one’s face. More than conveying that one is aesthetically pleasing, it also conveys that one has good health. If a person has uneven jawlines or cheeks, for example, they can draw unwanted attention as their features are seen as disproportional—and therefore, out of the ordinary by society. Facial contouring procedures can help with this unevenness as they are designed to minimize or volumize certain features to make a face look more balanced. They can benefit individuals who have:

  • sagging jowls

  • receding chin

  • square jawline

  • double chin

  • excess fat under the chin

  • loose skin below the chin

  • lines and wrinkles

Facial Contouring Procedures

There are surgical and non-surgical treatments for facial contouring. Here are some that your doctor might recommend:

Surgical Treatments

  • Facial Liposuction - this is a minimally invasive procedure used to remove the accumulation of fat from the cheeks and chin.

  • Facial Fat Grafting - also known as lip modeling, consists of removing unwanted fat from another area of your body; and transferring it into areas of your face that require some volume.

  • Double Jaw Surgery - a type of corrective jaw surgery that is done to treat conditions of protruding jaws and malocclusions; it aims to correct both aesthetic and functional skeletal issues

  • Bone Reduction Surgery - this surgery reduces the size of your bones to give you a softer image

Non-surgical Treatments

  • Filler Injections - temporary filler injections come in different kinds: hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, Poly-L-lactic acid, and Polymethylmethacrylate. They are injected into the skin at different depths to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, lift sagging skin, and plump thin lips.

  • Botox Injections - this treatment involves injecting a dose of botulinum toxin into your face to reduce the appearance of deep facial lines, crow’s feet, and wrinkles.

  • Fat Freezing - this treatment gets rid of stubborn fat through a method called cryolipolysis.

  • Radio Frequency Treatments - this non-invasive treatment tightens the skin by stimulating collagen production
